Letizia earned her M.D. degree from the University of Verona, Italy, where she developed an interest in the surgical management of pancreatic cancer. After completing her degree, she joined the lab for a research period before continuing her training in a General Surgery residency. During her time in the Maker lab, Letizia developed competencies in analyzing RNA sequencing datasets, focusing on exploring the immune microenvironment of colorectal cancer. Particularly, her research is focused on investigating this disease in the increasing population of young patients.
